  1. When should I travel on safari and wildlife tours?

The best time to embark on a safari or wildlife tour depends on several factors. One of the most important is the type of animal you hope to see. For example, if you’re interested in witnessing the great wildebeest migration in East Africa, then the best time to visit is between July and September. If you’re more interested in seeing big cats like lions and leopards, then visiting during the dry season (May to October), when vegetation is sparse and animals congregate around water sources, is ideal. Gorilla trekking can be done any time of the year, but June–November remains the great season. During this time, the gorillas are easier to track due to the thinning of vegetation.

If birdwatching is your primary goal, then visiting during the rainy season (November to April) when migratory birds are present can be a great option. Additionally, it’s important to consider weather patterns and local events that may impact your trip. For example, some parks may close during heavy rains, or certain cultural festivals may attract large crowds that could impact your ability to see wildlife. Ultimately, choosing the right time for your safari or wildlife tour requires careful research and planning
