10 Day Rwanda Cultural Immersion Summer Party Tour

From the bustling Kigali City through Akagera National Park rich in Wildlife to Gisenyi, the famous beauty spot of Rwanda, take part in the day and nightlife of Rwanda, meet people in their community, learn their culture, speak their language, eat their food and party with them.

Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda
On arrival at the airport, meet and greet with our driver guides and transfer to Mijo Hostel or similar for overnight. Relax after long hours’ flight to recruit energy for the next days of Rwanda adventure.
Day 2: Kigali City Tour
After breakfast, visit the Kigali City including:
• Kigali Genocide Memorial,
• Kandt Natural History Museum,
• Presidential Palace Museum,
• Campaign Against Genocide Museum,
• Nyamirambo Women Center,
• Kimironko market
• Nyabugogo Center
• Inema and Ivuka Arts
After the visit, return to the hotel and get ready for a night city tour starting at 20:00 visiting bars, nightclubs and many more. Share a drink and get to know each other before the tour starts per se.

Day 3: Urugo Women’s Opportunity Center
After breakfast, drive to Kayonza to visit the Urugo women’s opportunity center for a cultural and responsible tour. Some of the objectives of this center created by Women for Women International are creating a space of learning for locals, promoting Women entrepreneurs and an environmentally conscious tourism center to resource the community. You would take part in different activities like craft demonstrations, local food production, Women’s farm tour, coffee trail and enjoy a cultural Lunch and dinner at Urugo Eco-Lodge.

Day 04: Game drive in Akagera NP
After breakfast at 7:00 A.M, drive eastwards to Akagera National Park and on arrival, enjoy a full day game drive and birding in the park, home to the big 5 and other wildlife animals like buffalos, Elephants, Lions, antelopes, Maasai giraffes, monkeys, savannah birds, civets, leopards, hyenas, Rhinos, zebra and many more.
With an experienced and knowledgeable guide, you will be able to spot and easily watch the animals in their natural habitat.
At 17:00, drive back to Kigali and overnight at Mijo Hostel.
Day 05: Cultural day tour
After breakfast at 8:00, drive southwards to Nyanza King’s Palace which was the residence of King Mutara III Rudahirwa and the Royal Palace that was traditionally built. This Palace offers a detailed look into Rwandan traditional seat of their monarchy and is an impressive museum, restored to its 19th-century state and visit the long-horned royal cows “Inyambo” to admire the procession of these cows.
Continue to the Ethnographic National Museum with the finest ethnographic and archeological collections portraying Rwandan social and cultural aspects in Huye. Learn the Rwandan traditional dance and performance then enjoy the nightlife of the neighborhoods.

Day 06: Canopy Walkway- Nyungwe Forest NP
After breakfast at 9:00, drive to Nyungwe Forest NP and on your way to Gisakura Guest House, you will be enjoying a scenic drive through the forest.
After lunch, report to Uwinka starting point for the canopy walk at 15:00, a 90m long and start the adventure for about 2 hours. The Canopy walkway, hanging 60m above the forest floor, enables you to have a panoramic view of the forest’s fauna and flora including bird watching.

Day 07 Nyungwe NP- Gisenyi
After breakfast, drive to Gisenyi, a lively town in Rubavu city on the North shores of Lake Kivu and border to Goma- DR Congo. Gisenyi is a place where most people go, from Kigali and Goma when they want to escape and breathe fresh air for a while mostly at the weekend. On arrival at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel, check-in at the hotel then relax and let your soul and spirit fly on the shores of Lake Kivu. Walk around the city at night visiting bars and other places.

Day 08: Farewell Gala at Serena Hotel.
After breakfast, visit the Gisenyi city including:
• Fishing village
• Main Market
• Nyamyumba hot springs
• Boat trip in Lake Kivu
Return to the hotel and get ready for a farewell party starting at 18:00-22:00 at the beach of the Hotel.
After spending 8 days together, the time has come to say goodbye to new friends you have met and been together during this period. Share your experience with others, drinks accompanied by a delicious barbecue then later go dancing and karaoke nightclubs.

Day 09: Gisenyi- Kigali
After late breakfast, depart for Kigali with stop over at Iby’iwacu cultural village to experience the traditional way of living, the traditional dances, the kings' stories, visiting schools, preparing local meals and many more.
Transfer to Kigali and have a free evening before overnight at Mijo Hostel.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, visit the CAPLAKI handcrafts village to buy last minute’s souvenirs for family and friends back home.
The transfer to the airport will mark the end of this tour.
