Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
On arrival at the airport, meet and greet our driver then be transferred to the hotel for check-in. Overnight at Chez Lando Hotel.-/-/D
Day 02: Full day Game Drive in Akagera National Park
After breakfast at 6:00 A.M, drive to Akagera National Park to enjoy a full day game drive and birding in the park, home to the big 5 and other wildlife animals like buffalos, Elephants, Lions, antelopes, Maasai giraffes, monkeys, savannah birds, civets, leopards, hyenas, rhinos, zebra and many more. With an experienced and knowledgeable guide, you will be able to spot and easily site the animals in their natural habitat. At 5.30 pm, drive back to Kigali for overnight at Chez Lando Hotel. B/L/D
Day 03: Kigali City tour
After breakfast, go for a city tour visiting: • Kigali Genocide Memorial, • Kandt Natural History Museum, • Presidential Palace Museum, • Nyamirambo Women Center, • Inema and Ivuka Arts • Night city tour Overnight at Chez Lando Hotel. B/L/D
Day 04: Kigali-Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast at 8:00 A.M, transfer to Nyungwe Forest NP with a stopover at Nyanza King’s Palace which was the residence of King Mutara III Rudahirwa and the Royal Palace that was traditionally built. This Palace offers a detailed look into Rwandan traditional seat of their monarchy and is an impressive museum, restored to its 19th-century state. Afterward, visit the Ethnographic National Museum with the finest ethnographic and archeological collections portraying Rwandan social and cultural aspects in Huye. On your way to Top View Hill Hotel for overnight, you will be enjoying a scenic drive through the forest. B/L/D
Day 05: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk
Wake up very early and after breakfast, enjoy a morning chimpanzee tracking then spend the rest of the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, do a canopy walk, hanging 60m above the forest floor enabling you to have a panoramic view of the forest’s fauna and flora including bird watching. Overnight at Top view Hill Hotel. Day 06: Nyungwe Forest NP- Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, drive back to Kigali for lunch and continue to Bwindi for overnight at Bakiga Lodge. B/L/D
Day 07: Gorilla trekking - Bwindi National Park
In the morning after breakfast, we head to the Bwindi National Park Headquarters where you will be allocated groups of gorillas to be visited. The gorilla trekking will lead you through the Bwindi Mountain forest, and this may take 1-4 hours. The maximum time to spend with the gorillas is one hour. After the trekking, you will go for a community visit: performances of dance and songs by locals, crafts, singing or visiting the trading center. Overnight at Bakiga Lodge. B/L/D
Day 08: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depart from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and start your journey to Queen Elizabeth. We drive through a hilly region of neatly cultivated fields. Your accommodations for the next 2 nights are at Bush Lodge. B/L/D
Day 09: Game drives & boat cruise – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake very early and have early morning breakfast. At around 6:30 am, go for a game drive on the northerly parts of the park along the Kasenyi track. This is the best time for opportunities of viewing cats in action. Explore all the tracks in the park for a different game like Elephants, Uganda Kobs, Buffaloes, Jackson hartebeest, Oribis, and many others. After lunch at 2.30, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga for solitary Buffalo, Hippo and other animals at the edge of the channel as they cool off. So many bird species including the migrant ones like the terns and gulls congregate here in large flocks. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge. B/L/D
Day 10: Queen Elizabeth National Park-Kibale National Park
In the morning you drive to Kibale National park. On your way, you get to appreciate the green landscapes of the highlands of Uganda. Kibale National Park is a dense Rain-forest located in Fort Portal western Uganda, 35 km from Fort Portal. It has a variety of primates dominated by Chimpanzees commonly known as chimps and a variety of monkey species. Dinner and Overnight at Kibale Forest Lodge B/L/D.
Day 11: Chimp tracking - Kibale National Park
After an early breakfast, you walk into the rainforest in search of primates and other animals. Commonly seen species include a red-tailed monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, and both Red Colobus and Black-and-white Colobus Monkeys. As you hike the trails, you listen for the distinctive pant-grunts that signal the presence of Chimpanzees. Chimps are abundant here and there is a high likelihood of your finding them. In the afternoon, you explore a forested swamp looking for birds, primates and some of the magnificent butterflies which abound here. Later in the afternoon, you return to your accommodations at Kibale Forest Lodge. B/L/D
Day 12: Kibale National Park- Kampala
After breakfast, transfer to Kampala arriving in the afternoon. Check-in and overnight at Fairway Hotel, Premier Hotel Kampala or similar hotel. You can visit the city center markets, crafts markets around Kampala before dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Departure
After early morning breakfast check out. Depending on your flight time you may visit World Heritage Kasubi Tombs or Botanical Gardens Entebbe before you reach Entebbe International Airport to catch your onward flight.
