4 day Uganda wildlife tailor-made tour to Lake Mburo, Bwindi & Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of apes, primates by a recommended company
Lake Mburo National park is a gem of a park, conveniently located along the western highway 4h from Kampala, en route to Queen Elizabeth Lake Bunyonyi; the Mountain Gorillas. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda that hosts Impala and the only one in the region with Burchell’s Zebra and Eland. Other species include topi, warthog, buffalo, Oribi, Waterbuck Defasa, Giraffe, and rare Klipspringer. Leopard and Hyena are also present while Crocodile and hippo are found in the lake.

Day 1: Arrival- Entebbe Airport
You are picked up from the airport. Proceed directly to Lake Mburo National park. This gives a head start and breaks the long journey to Bwindi. Head past local drum markets and herdsmen tending long-horned cattle. Stop over at the Equator for a break and photos astride the center of the world. Enter through Sanga gate, you pass varied landscape, acacia woodland, rock kopjes, and swamps. Check in at your appointed lodge on time for dinner. (3.5 -4 h drive) Dinner & Overnight at Rwakobo Rock
Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Wake up on time for breakfast. Check out with packed lunch and head for a game drive or walking, safari: The open savannah grassland along the Zebra track is worth exploring with over 315 bird species. Of particular interest is the Red-faced barbet. The lake area is perhaps the best place to find the African Finfoot. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park. Continue through the rolling hills of western Uganda. Arrive at Haven Lodge. Take an optional visit to the village medicine man. Dinner and overnight (5-6 h drive)
Day 3: Gorilla trekking
Have an early morning wakeup call at 6:30 AM and breakfast before a briefing by ranger/guide at 8:00 am before you begin our trek. Don’t forget your packed lunch. The gorillas are trekked, located and after approximately one hour with them, return to base. before Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving late afternoon. Check in at Bush Lodge for dinner & overnight (2-3 hr)
Day 4: Game drive and departure
Arrange a wakeup call and checkout. Have early morning breakfast before starting your game drive by 6:30 am. Depart for Entebbe with a lunch stop in Agip Motel Mbarara arriving early afternoon. Check in at J-Courts Hotel Entebbe and refresh. Proceed to Entebbe International Airport to catch your onward flight.
