What is the best time to go for gorilla trekking in Uganda? Gorilla trekking in Uganda is possible all year round. Uganda is divided into two seasons: dry and wet. The wet season is considered the low season. Wondering where to go for gorilla trekking in Uganda. The trekking is done in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park has 18 gorilla families that have been habituated for tourism.
On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will transfer to 2Friends Beach Hotel.
In the morning, you will be picked from your hotel in Entebbe and drive southwestwards to Bwindi National Park, with a stopover for photography and experimentation at the equator and in Mbarara town for lunch. Continue the scenic drive to Kabale town, also known as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Later transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge.
In the morning, assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing from the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Proceed for the memorable adventure in the forest, an activity that may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the animals. Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour, then descend to the park headquarters and then to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you may go for a community walk. Dinner and overnight at your hotel(Day 3) or transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Rock resort.
